Drugs is their go to bs. The dog quite likely alerts at random and it just happened to alert on that. What evidence to they have that would assert that their dog alerted on it and it wasn't just them bored picking packages at random and "inspecting them". They SEIZED package contents that had no connection to crime. They don't even allege a crime, they just see that it is money in a box. Just like with money in cars, they think $1000 is too much to put into your car, so they want to seize it as if it were drug money.

Civil Asset Forfeiture must be annihilated. Seizure of assets randomly is unconstitutional, it is unlawful, it serves no lawful law enforcement purpose and serves to anger people and add fuel to a burning fire.
