Remember, Defund the Police was all about refocusing police resources on things that actually needed police. It got co-opted by trolls and racists and who is fitting the bill? Ah yes, the tax payers including those who have to deal with a police response.

This man was attacked by cops while he was having a seizure of all things at his age and they desperately to try to screw him over even when faced with the FACTS. Facts do not matter to PIGS when it does not suit them.

Police should NOT be responding to medical calls. Police should not even be trained to respond to this situation. Are Marin County emergency responders short staffed that they needed police to respond? What specifically led to a PIG responding to this and bringing up a terrible situation into a violently horrid situation? Do police now have to be trained in spotting seizures? Weren't the police the ones complaining all these years about having to do many things which is why they needed more more more money.

This must be one of those "Tell us how to do our job better" departments, who finds that there was nothing wrong, but engages in faux public dialogue. Pretending that hearing public complaints will only fuel more mistrust.

As for the guy himself, he labeled himself a police supporter up until that moment. That's the problem with people, they support police, but do not every utter the words of good behavior. Cops alleged that he was DRUNK in his own home. LOL.

Encouraging good behavior definitely starts with not letting the cops "investigate themselves" to find that nothing went wrong. The behavior on video from start to end was disgusting and enraging. No common sense among any of them from bottom to top. At no point did they even care to apologize to the man for being TASED and battered for no crimes being alleged against him.

Furthermore, hospitals are not a safe space. Unless you have proper administrators, especially one who have backbone, they will always be the hell hole they are. Once it was found that he has a seizure, the cops should have been barred from adding any more anguish on top of whatever he suffered. Let them figure all that sh*t out when he is discharged to the public and out of their care. There was no crime nor urgency that would have triggered a hospital arrest.

Bankrupt the cops, that's how you will ensure good behavior. The courts won't let you though out of some supposed fear that lawmakers won't be able to grapple with.

At least he is suing them, but there's definitely more that he can tack on.
