Black Mayor of Newbern, Alabama Fighting To Take Power in Dispute with White Residents
"the town wasn’t ready for a Black mayor" said a lady to Patrick Braxton. Most likely white lady.

Patrick Braxton won because of no other candidates who declared their candidacy, so the former white mayor along with white residents pulled a coup not unlike tRump to deny the successor his power.

But within weeks of his win, and before he got to take his oath of office, Braxton says he was dethroned in a secret scheme orchestrated by the former leadership, who he says did not want to hand over power to a Black mayor who was planning to appoint new council members.
His opponents “set in action a plan to thwart a majority Black City Council from taking office and to effectively prevent the first Black Mayor from exercising the duties and power of his new job,” according to a lawsuit filed by Braxton and the four residents he named as his council.

He appointed city council members who are residents of the city. They were probably all black because as the mayor said, white residents were not willing to work with him. Now what reason could possibly prevent a black mayor from assuming his duties and working with the self segregating white residents. HmmmMMMmm. 🤔 Do we need a whole FBI case to figure that out? Hah.

Now it's not like they couldn't wait some years to choose a new mayor if they felt so frustrated, no. He's black, so no don't follow the rules. It's not like they couldn't work with the guy since they all live there. No, he's black and not white so there's no way to work with him.

Nothing short of RACISM unsurprisingly. Now what if black residents did that to minority white residents? Would the federal and state govt bomb that town into submission? Why hasn't this been resolved by those who can resolve it quickly.
