LAPD PIGs Arrest Innocent Man and Woman Regardless of Evidence of Innocence
Piggies had no idea who they were looking for. You'd think go find the caller would be the next idea, no.

Fools went after a Black man, Antone Austin, who was taking out the trash and had smiled at the pigs. You know he won't be smiling at them anymore.

Article: https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-04-06/lapd-bodycam-video-shows-officers-grabbing-and-arrest-innocent-black-man-as-they-searched-for-a-suspect

A federal magistrate ordered the public disclosure of the video Friday as part of a lawsuit alleging racial profiling and civil rights violations brought by music producer Antone Austin, known as Tone Stackz, who was arrested in May 2019 despite not being the suspect in a domestic violence call. Austin and his girlfriend Michelle Michlewicz were taken into custody for resisting arrest.

Notice that a court had to order the LAPD to make the video public. The finest work of the LAPD being hidden, now why would anyone hide their good totally fine work? They always release video when they feel their officers did good work, so are they admitting that this wasn't good work after all? 🤔👀

The video footage shows the two being physically detained by officers as they proclaim Austin’s innocence. But it begins with an unusual admission that the officers weren’t sure Austin was the man cited in the domestic violence call.

What now? They weren't sure if he was the man, but came up all crazy full of steroids oinking at him. Such good perfectly fine investigatory work.

The officers see Austin as he was taking out the trash in front of his Fountain Avenue apartment; he smiles at the officers as they approach. The officers tell him to turn around. He asks why, and the officer snaps back, “Because I told you to.” Austin informs the officer he lives there, and the officer says, “OK, man, I don’t know who I am looking for.”

"I don't know who I am looking for" so therefore let me violate you without any indication or reasonable cause just because ... skin color. Detaining someone outside their home because you got a call about some dude, but you've no clue. Might as well do that all the time and detain everyone where a "crime" supposedly happened. Hell bent on getting "this guy" who they've no clue is connected to the call. No attempt to reach the original caller. No attempt to walk around the complex to see if there is an altercation going on or to see if the original caller is hiding. So distracted by a black man that they didn't even listen to the original caller when she came up and said that's not him.

LAPD PIGGYS failed so badly. "Just a few bad apples" đź’€ Yeah sure. Where were the good apples talking to the original caller actually trying to investigate? False imprisonment of a dude who respected them. Good community police work there champs!

Conclusion

Antone Austin hired Faisal Gill as his attorney and got a settlement. Faisal Gill ran for city attorney and almost got the position. Seems the settlement may have been around $300,000: https://cityclerk.lacity.org/lacityclerkconnect/index.cfm?fa=ccfi.viewrecord&cfnumber=21-0823
