Pretty clear hate crime here. They don't have any defensible reason for chasing and shooting at a Fedex driver.

A white father and son have been indicted by a grand jury on multiple charges, including attempted murder, almost 10 months after a Black FedEx driver alleged he was chased and shot at after dropping off a package in a Mississippi city.
Gregory Case and his son Brandon were indicted last week by a Lincoln County grand jury on charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit the crime of murder and shooting into a motor vehicle in connection with the alleged Jan. 24 attack on D’Monterrio Gibson in Brookhaven, about 55 miles south of Jackson. The population of Brookhaven is about 59% Black and 39% white, according to the most recent census data.

The report, by Officer Kennis Montgomery, recounts the same story Gibson shared with the Mississippi Free Press. The FedEx driver said he spoke with three police officers the day he filed it. He told the Mississippi Free Press that one white officer, whose name he did not know, asked him if he had been “doing anything to make them think (he) looked suspicious.”
“I felt disrespected at that point, because even if I did, they still can’t take the law into their own hand,” Gibson said. “So I told him all I did was my job. If they think that I was suspicious, that was on them. He was like ‘OK, I was just asking.’”

Not a shock that a cop would try to pin the blame on the black FedEx driver. 'Oh were you doing something suspicious?' A good response would've been, 'Officer, you are sus for even asking that question. You trying to cover it up?'
